In the past few weeks, each of you, in your individual city, have shown effective leadership and proactivity. You have set India on fire and caught it's imagination.

We invite you to take the next step at AntiRes-design the long term fruitful conclusion of your initiative. You can find a Site Map in the next post.

Plan:

Invite four to five key individuals from each city to form a core co-ordination committee

Thrash out a long term (2-3 year) plan by end of May 06.

Please post your criticisms, suggestions and thoughts about this plan in Impetus. We hope to draw a final draft by this month end.

Form a Core Group of 25-30 in each city around the initial four individuals over Jun-Jul 06

Activate Impetus on Aug 15th 2006. If Impetus is approved, we propose to establish, sustain and activate a Network of responders, as defined in Impetus, over the next 2 years.

The current plan requires you to devote your weekends to the cause. A small sacrifice to add dignity to the many weeks of our lives that lie ahead!

"Arise Awake" these words remind us of a famous saying, but we seem to hav come into a situation where the indian politicians are leading India into a time warp, by their feudalistic ideas of divide and rule. This whole issue of reservation in the esteemed institutions of merit which are acknowledged the world over is a way of saying that indians can make do with second grade quality anywhere.
No this shall never be allowed. Instead we should all slowly increase our fight against this issue to eradicate reservation itself and the politicians who propagate it.
When the constitution of India was made reservations were introduced on the basis as to stop it after a period of 10yrs. But we hav continued it for 56 years into our Democracy wherein the whole idea of equality in a democracy is being killed.
Hence the words 'ARISE AWAKE' is to awken ourselves and fight for justice for merit for equality for our future and for the glory thjat India can achieve sans reservation.
We need to form a movement that can shake our country out of its british hangover. The casteism in Indian society was a great tool for the british to exploit us. But now our own people who call themselves the leaders of india are exploiting us with these seperatist issues for their selfish garnering of votebank support.
